    Driving/ Parking On School Grounds
All parents are informed that driving and/ or parking on the school grounds is strictly prohibited (unless they have mobility issues). All parents sign an agreement promising to adhere to this rule when their child starts nursery. Unfortunately, not all parents believe this rule applies to them and are continuing to endanger the lives of the children by driving onto the school grounds and parking on the pavements and the zigzag markings at the entrance to the school site. We would like to remind all parents and carers that they should park responsibly on the main road and walk their child into School.

Welcome to Cleator Moor Nursery School. This school website is intended to give you a clear picture of life at our Nursery School. I hope you will find it informative and a very useful guide to refer to.

Here at Cleator Moor Nursery, we believe in giving all the children the best possible start to their school life. Essentially, this is done by providing a safe, happy and friendly environment for the children.

Our pupil age range is 2 to 4 years. We offer 15 hours free entitlement per week, with places in the Rainbow Room (situated in the Dent Educare Centre) for 2 year-olds who meet specific eligibility criteria and places in the Nursery Class for 3 and 4 year-old children. (Please see Admissions page for further details.) The 3 and 4 year-olds can access extended care for a small fee - please see Extended Care page for further information.

You are always welcome to pop-in and see what we do. The best way to see the Nursery is by visiting us and spending some time in the class seeing the children at work and play.
